I have chosen Bali to hold this much cherished notion of a long retreat. It is a familiar place for many coming to my retreats. The setting is quiet yet allows independence. Accomodation and living costs allow flexibility and freedom. The pre arranged cost for accomodation for the entire time is $800. Which is extremely reasonable. The retreat will be held at Santra Putra in Penestann. The long retreat will run over a month. The weekends will be free. The usual schedule of 2.5 hrs of sitting and asana practice in the mornings and two hours again in the afternoon. The schedule will have flexibility. The idea of the any retreat I give is a community gathering, sharing practice, conversation to work together. It is time enough for a deeper immersion. I invite experieced practioners who long to have more time set aside to absorb and become quieter. There will be times of sacred silence, and times for community. Time to be alone with your own activities. I would go to India each year and have this time, the learning was deep and there was time not to move on tho the next thing. . I so relished it. One day a week on the weekend I would do other stuff, shop go to temples enjoying India. Having compartments in my life helped me to settle and deeply enjoy each. All other other costs, accomodation, food, transfers etc are not included. However it is hoped these can be shared. Deposit of $500 to hold a space once you have sent in your application.
