Sitting in the silence- empty like this bowl.
Doing yoga asana gives a taste of what it is like when the mind and body tensions begin to unravel. When for moments the mind seats itself in the body and then there is a feeling of lightness. Calmness-this is enough.
We cannot eliminate the wild nature of the mind and emotions, after all it is the job of the mind to think. But actually she does not think- but day-dreams, re-acts, fantasizes, and makes up history according to her disposition. We simply rehash what is familiar, plotting and planning to fix and resolve. We are rarely present. Sitting down each day begins the slow process of releasing and re-wiring. We learn to strenghen the mind and stabalize the emotions.
This is the path of Yoga.
