Teacher Training with Caroline Coggins
Are you an experienced yogi wanting to deepen your practice and your learning? Is there a fire in you that wants to learn how to practice, wants to get more involved, no longer content to be on the side lines waiting to be taught? Do you desire more understanding to feel confident to work with the difficulties that may assail you, to take on the journey yourself? Have you discovered a deep desire to share the richness of yoga with others?
If the answer to these questions is ‘yes’ you may be ready to join Caroline Coggins’ Teacher Training Program. In order to enter the Program you must have attended regular classes with a certified Iyengar teacher for at least 3 years (or if living in an isolated location have attended 280 hours of classes with a certified Iyengar teacher). You must also have an established home practice.
The Program focus is on helping dedicated students move deeply into their own practice. As their practice deepens and matures students are prepared for Introductory Level assessment in accordance with the requirements and minimum standards set by the BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of Australia (the Association). Certification at Introductory Level is determined by an external assessment committee set up by the Association. Once certified, the student can call themselves an Iyengar teacher and use the Iyengar trademark.
A student who enters the Program with just the minimum 3 years of Iyengar yoga experience can expect to be on the Program for at least 3 years before they are ready to sit for assessment. .
If the Teacher Training Program sounds like you and you’d like more information see the 2019 ‘Introductory Teacher Training’ page.
