START UP BEGINNERS COURSES are for students new to Iyengar yoga as well as for those returning after a break who wish to refresh themselves on the fundamentals.
These enrolment only courses are structured over 4 weeks, so students new to yoga can learn in a steady and systematic way with the same teacher and group.
Attending these courses is the best way to start yoga.
Over the four weeks the teacher will introduce you to the foundation postures (asanas) that form the basis of Iyengar yoga. Our teachers are all highly trained and experienced. They will guide you step by step to achieve a good understanding of the foundation syllabus.
Once you have completed a few of these courses you will be ready to join any of the Level 1 classes at the Yoga Centre.

Course Costs: $70 per 4 week course
Full time student concession: $56 per course
Please produce your current FULL TIME student card at your first class.
* Courses need to have a base number of enrolments to run and may be cancelled if the base enrolment is not met.
Classes run at the same time each week. If you are unable to attend a class you can make it up in any of the Level 1 classes. Please note however that all make-ups must be completed within the 4 week period. There is no carry over to the following round of courses.
